Can I use my insurance plan?

Yes, we currently accept the following insurance carriers by service area:

Virginia: Aetna, Anthem, CareFirst (BlueCard PPO Plans only*), Cigna, Humana Medicare Advantage, Multiplan/PHCS, Out-of-State BCBS (BlueCard PPO plans), Piedmont, Tricare (Humana Military), VHN, United Healthcare, UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage of Virginia

Georgia: BCBS, Humana, Multiplan/PHCS, NovaNet

Florida: Health First Health Plan

If your insurance does not cover the service, you can still see a doctor for a $75 flat fee if paid at the time of service.

*BlueCard PPO plans show a SUITCASE logo with the letters PPO inside of the suitcase printed on the member ID card. Services may be processed as out-of-network by CareFirst and/or BlueCard plans that do not have the PPO logo printed on the insurance card.

    What conditions can we not treat?

    More serious conditions that require an in-person visit to the doctor cannot be treated through Virtual Clinic. Such conditions including the following:

  • Blistering burns
  • Severe abdominal pain
  • Broken bones
  • Severe bleeding
  • Chest pain
  • Sudden numbness on face, arm, leg
  • Coughing or vomiting blood
  • Sudden, severe headache
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Sudden weakness, dizziness, loss of balance
  • Open wound, puncture wounds
  • Poisoning/drug overdose
  • If you are experiencing chest pain, difficulty breathing, choking, significant bleeding, stroke-related symptoms such as weakness on one side or slurred speech, thoughts of suicide or homicide, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency care location.

    If you are using a mobile phone or tablet to access myPrivia Virtual Clinic, you need to download the myPrivia mobile app from the App Store or Google Play.

    What if I experience technical issues?

    If you cannot hear or see the provider or if the provider cannot hear or see you, please make sure your audio is not muted and that your camera is turned on.

    If you get disconnected from the video visit or accidentally closed out the tab, please refer back to the email to rejoin the visit.
