Biography
Dr. Sadia Hayat is a board certified allergist and immunologist who recently joined the practice. She initially completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Texas – Houston Health Sciences Center, followed by a fellowship in Allergy & Immunology at Washington University in St Louis / Barnes-Jewish Hospital, whilst receiving a prestigious research award for her final year. Following her training, she was then Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed and referenced papers, and was core faculty of the fellowship training program, where she was a well-respected teacher of medical students, residents, and fellows. During that time, she served as Secretary-Treasurer, Vice President, then President of the Greater Kansas City Allergy Society.
After shifting to the DMV area, she continued teaching remotely for KU before joining A Larry Miller MD Allergy & Immunology in Vienna, Virginia. Dr Hayat sees a wide range of conditions, including allergic and non-allergic rhinitis, asthma, drug and food allergies, skin reactions such as hives, and sinusitis, as well as immunodeficiencies.
Although she recently arrived in the DMV area, she was already awarded Top Doctor Washingtonian magazine in 2023. Currently she serves on multiple committees for the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, and is also Secretary-Treasurer for the Greater Washington Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Society.
