Biography
Dr. Sara Hamade is a urogynecologist specializing in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. She provides expert care for conditions such as pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, sexual dysfunction, pelvic and bladder pain, and menopause-related concerns, tailoring treatments to each patient’s individual needs.
Dr. Hamade completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia, and went on to complete a subspecialty fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in collaboration with Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Prior to her residency, she earned a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation (MSCI) from Northwestern University’s NUCATS Institute in Chicago, where she focused on clinical research in women’s health. Dr. Hamade received her Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Science in Biology from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon and completed a preliminary internal medicine year at AUBMC.
Dr. Hamade has been caring for patients in Virginia for nearly a decade, and is committed to bridging the gap for women who may not realize that pelvic health issues are treatable. She takes a patient-centered approach, ensuring each person feels heard, supported, and informed throughout their care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Hamade enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and adding to her trilingual repertoire - currently learning Spanish.
