Biography

Dr. Velasco-Guidry was born and raised in Northern Virginia and discovered her passion for medicine early in life. She began her journey in healthcare as a medical assistant while still in high school, steadily advancing to fulfill her dream of becoming a physician. After earning her medical degree from De La Salle Health Sciences Institute in the Philippines, Dr. Velasco-Guidry contributed to breast cancer research at George Washington University. She then completed her Family Medicine residency at Hackensack Meridian Health Palisades Medical Center in New Jersey. Driven by a desire to be near her family and serve her home community, Dr. Velasco-Guidry returned to Northern Virginia to begin her career. She is deeply committed to building lasting relationships with her patients and providing compassionate, patient-centered care that empowers individuals to take an active role in their health.

Outside of work, Dr. Velasco-Guidry cherishes time with her husband, young son, and their family dog. She enjoys experimenting in the kitchen as she continues to hone her culinary skills, and she loves staying active outdoors. Her pastimes also include watching football, catching the latest home design ideas on HGTV, and indulging in a good scary movie.
