Biography

Dr. Gilliam grew up in Victoria, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Texas A&M University. She then moved to Auburn, Alabama, to attend the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school.

She completed her residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in the Permian Basin, where she served as co–chief resident for the 2025–2026 academic year. During her training, she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and received the 2025 AUGS Award for Excellence in Urogynecology. She was also actively involved in research, earning first place in the Oral Presentation, Interprofessional Collaboration Division at Texas Tech Permian Basin Research Day in 2025. During residency, she completed the AAGL Essentials in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Certification and the Intuitive Learning Da Vinci Robot Certification.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Gilliam enjoys traveling, running, cheering for the Aggies, and spending time with her husband, Brayden, and their daughter.
