Biography

As a Physician’s Assistant, Ms. Harris completed a psychiatry residency at Cherokee Mental Health Institute in Iowa, one of just two psychiatry programs for PAs across the country at the time. She has earned a Psychiatric Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) from the NCCPA. She holds a Master in Public Health from Tulane University, Louisiana, in addition to the Master of Phyisican’s Assistant Studies from Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR. 

Ms. Harris has a wealth of knowledge and experience in adult, child and adolescent psychiatry, having worked in private and clinic settings as well as having been a volunteer for the Peace Corps. Her treatment philosophy mirrors that of her colleagues at DPS Health and Wellness in her commitment to provide the best quality care possible to those who need it most, and may not have access to it otherwise. Ms. Harris has been a practicing Psychiatric Physician’s Assistant since 2003.
