Dr. Messinger was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She lives in Washington, DC with her husband and two sons. She is learning to play piano and likes to travel when there is time. Dr. Messinger enjoys spending time with her family and friends – whether it is casual gatherings or exploring the city and museums. Being with those she loves brings her the most joy.
Biography
Dr. Lauren Messinger graduated from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. She then spent time in scientific research at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda before completing her medical degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. She completed residency training at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana where she was an administrative chief resident and recognized as an outstanding physician in minimally invasive surgery. She is board certified by The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and holds privileges at Sibley Memorial Hospital where she is Vice Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
