Biography

Netsanet Chevers is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. Before entering the mental health field, Netsanet earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. She later realized her professional fulfillment came from meaningful interpersonal connections and helping others. This realization, coupled with a recognition of the critical need for mental health services, led her to pursue counseling.

Netsanet specializes in providing person-centered individual therapy, rooted in guiding clients toward insight, improved livelihood, and empowerment. She utilizes components of Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral, and Feminist approaches. Additionally, she provides psychoeducation to help foster understanding and change. Her areas of expertise include emotional well-being and coping, connection and communication, life transitions, personal growth, and sociocultural issues.

In therapy, the client’s perspective is central. Netsanet’s style is adaptable, emphasizing understanding and empathy. She values clients’ identities and believes it is important for clients to feel comfortable discussing the role their identities play in their lives. She believes in viewing each client’s experience holistically, working collaboratively to uncover purpose and strength through exploration.
