Biography
Daniel Pedersen, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician and founder of Highland Health Center, an independent hybrid practice in Dunedin, Florida, blending primary care, integrated mental health, and advanced aesthetic-regenerative therapies.
Dr. Pedersen earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine–Georgia Campus, following a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences (MS) from Florida Atlantic University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology (BS) from Florida International University. He completed his Traditional Rotating Internship at Rowan University/Inspira Health Network (Vineland, NJ) and his Family Medicine Residency at USF Morsani College of Medicine/HCA Oak Hill Hospital (Brooksville, FL), where he was honored with the Resident Recognition Award for Academic Performance.
Board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Pedersen has served as Clinical Associate Professor for NOVA Southeastern University and preceptor for the USF Morsani Family Medicine Residency at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital. He is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP/FAAFP), American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP), and Florida Medical Association (FMA).
With expertise across the full spectrum of family medicine—from adolescent to geriatric care—he manages complex chronic conditions and acute issues with precision. His procedural skill set includes ultrasound-guided orthopedic joint injections, dermatologic biopsies, excisions, and I&Ds.
At Highland Health Center, Dr. Pedersen seamlessly integrates evidence-based primary care with regenerative and aesthetic services, including Plexr “soft surgery” in office procedures, Botox and dermal fillers, PRP therapy, HRT, and stem cell applications—all delivered in a serene, medical-grade environment.
Outside the clinic he enjoys outdoor activities such as kayaking, mountain biking, and boating.
