Personal Interests

Dr. Helton and her husband, Lamar, have three children, Ben (15), Andrew (12), and Jacob (9). She enjoys exercise and spending time with her boys outside.

Biography

Dr. Helton grew up in Sandersville. After graduating from Washington County High School, she attended Mercer University for both college and medical school. While at Mercer, she was involved in both leadership and work study roles while pursuing her education. She completed her pediatric internship and residency at the Medical Center of Central Georgia, now called Navicent Health. After residency, she moved back home to practice pediatrics in Sandersville for four years, and then in 2013, moved her family to Dublin, which they are now proud to call home.
