Biography

Kathleen Verpaele founded Island Dermatology & Primary Care in 2023. Kathleen lives in Merritt Island where she grew up. She has six amazing children and a wonderful husband. She loves being on the boat, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. Kathleen Verpaele is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Kathleen earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at University of South Florida graduating with honors. She decided to pursue her career further, obtaining her Master’s of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of Central Florida graduating with honors. Kathleen has over a decade of experience in Dermatology and 5 years in Internal Medicine. She is a certified Master injector. She loves everything skin. She belongs to the Dermatology Nurses Association and Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners.
