Biography

Dr. Barrett has dedicated his career to improving the health and well-being of his patients, guided by a deep passion for compassionate and preventative care. Born and raised in Washington State, he married his wife, Michell, in 1995. Together, they have raised four children and are proud grandparents to eight grandchildren.

Dr. Barrett began his healthcare journey as a chiropractor after graduating from Western States Chiropractic College. In 2001, he and his family moved to Moses Lake, Washington, where he built and operated a successful chiropractic practice for 13 years. Drawn to the warmth and connection of small-town communities, he valued the opportunity to serve his neighbors and build strong patient relationships.

Over time, Dr. Barrett felt a strong calling to expand his scope of care. Believing he could make a greater impact through preventative medicine, he returned to school to earn his Doctor of Medicine from Avalon University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Jackson Park Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, gaining extensive clinical experience before returning to Washington.

In 2023, Dr. Barrett relocated to the Spokane area to be closer to family and began serving the community through his work with Lincoln County Hospital.

A devoted family man, Dr. Barrett’s roots and relationships are central to his life. His youngest daughter and her husband, as well as his only son, live in the Spokane area, making it easy for him to stay close to his loved ones. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his large family and taking part in the life of his community.
