Biography

Michaelyn has resided in Morgantown since graduating summa cum laude from the WVU School of Nursing. She first practiced as a registered nurse in the pediatric intensive care unit at WVU Children’s hospital for 5 years before pursuing her advanced practice degree. In 2021, she also became certified in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) after becoming aware of the great need for mental health services in our region, and desiring to fill that need. She loves adventuring with her husband, a Garrett County native, who shares and supports her passion for providing holistic care to the pediatric population. She has a love for life-long learning and ensuring that all children are supported to meet their full potential. This desire for learning was fostered by her mother throughout her early homeschooling years and beyond. She enjoys being creative in her free time, producing graphic designs and textile art. She comes from a large family and loves spending time with her siblings, nephew, nieces, and dog, Hudson.
