Biography
Dr. Alfaysale graduated from the medical school of the University of Baghdad in 2007, then she moved to the United States to complete her Pediatrics residency training at New York Methodist Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine in Brooklyn New York.
During her residency, she served as chief resident during her last year in training. She received multiple awards including best resident of the year. Dr. Alfaysale is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
After practicing in a busy medical center in Brooklyn, She moved to Virginia with her husband who is a Hematologist/Oncologist and her two boys to be close to family and serve the people of the neighborhood she lives in.
Dr. Alfaysale is bilingual in English/Arabic. She has a particular interest in infant development, asthma, and dermatology.
