Biography

“Dr. Chel” is a native of Cumberland and a graduate of Bishop Walsh School. He attended the George Washington University in Washington, DC for both his undergraduate and medical degrees and afterwards, went to the Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children for his pediatric training. There he cared for a diverse population of children in Northern Virginia. He was honored to serve as Chief Resident, supervising the education of junior residents and medical students and in 2001, received his board certification in pediatrics. He is married to a pediatric physical therapist and has two lovely daughters, Sarah, a student at the University of Virginia, and Chloe, attending Virginia Tech for engineering.
