Personal Interests
Dr. Williams and his wife, Christy, are raising four amazing children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities, exercising, soccer, movies, and cartoons.
Biography
Dr. J. Tyler Williams received his undergraduate degree in 2006 from Appalachian State University with a B.S. in Biology. In 2012, he graduated from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine and received his doctorate in osteopathic medicine. He completed his pediatric residency in 2015 at East Tennessee State University, where he was a Chief Resident. He was also a member of Sigma Sigma Phi Medical Honor Society, Golden Humanism Honor Society, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
Dr. Williams has been recognized for his outstanding medical skills numerous times. He is a D.O. (Osteopathic Physician) and is one of only a few pediatric D.O.s in the region. D.O.s have medical training equivalent to M.D.s. They receive training in bringing the body back into proper alignment to enable the body’s own natural mechanisms to promote optimal healing.
