Biography

Dr. Prather (née Lashgari) is a board-certified OB/GYN. She is a proud triple Hoya, completing her undergraduate studies, medical school and residency at Georgetown University. She has worked alongside Dr. Elliott at Northern Virginia Physicians to Women since 2004 and has been recognized as a Washingtonian “Top Doctor” every year since 2008. She serves on multiple committees at VHC Health. Dr. Prather values lasting relationships with patients throughout their pregnancies and across all stages of reproductive health. One of the most rewarding aspects of her work is seeing newborns she delivered return to see her as young adults. These full-circle moments speak of the trust and continuity she fosters with families. She also has a special interest in helping women navigate menopause with confidence and support. Dr. Prather is married and is an avid fan of the Washington Capitals. She has traveled the world and loves collecting purses.
