Biography

Dr. Maximiliane Liss is board certified in family medicine and joined Pantops Family Medicine in September 2026. She was born and raised near Hamburg, Germany. She earned her medical degree from Riga Stradins University in Latvia. Upon graduation, she moved to Florida where she completed her family medicine residency at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, Florida. During her final residency year, she served as the chief resident.

Dr. Liss takes a patient-centered approach to family medicine, with a strong focus on preventive care, health education, and overall well-being. She believes that lasting health is shaped by the connection between physical, emotional, and mental health. By taking the time to understand each patient as an individual, she strives to build lasting relationships grounded in trust and open communication. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Liss lives in Ivy, Virginia with her husband and daughter. She enjoys sewing, reading and being outdoors.
