Does Privia Premium replace my health insurance or Medicare?
No. Privia Premium is a membership program that provides access to advanced technology and enhanced services that are not covered by your insurance plan or Medicare. Your doctor will continue to bill you and/or your insurance or Medicare for any covered professional services provided to you.
How is my information kept secure?
Your records are stored in state-of-the-art secure data centers that are designed to protect the country’s most sensitive data – with 24/7 surveillance, biometric locks, encrypted transmissions, multiple backups and redundancy systems, uninterruptible power supplies, and enterprise class firewalls.
Are my membership fees to Privia Premium tax deductible?
Your membership fees may be tax deductible if paid through a qualified Health Savings Account (HSA), Medical Savings Account (MSA), or other qualified plan. Consult your plan administrator and tax professional.
What if I change physicians and need to cancel my membership?
You may cancel your membership at any time and receive a pro-rata refund of your membership fee. You can also change plans at any time.
What is a wellness team?
A wellness team is a team of nurses, nutritionists, and fitness advisors whose primary goal is to keep you healthy. All in partnership with your doctor.
What is global medical assistance?
The Privia Premium team can assist with your healthcare needs before, during and after you travel abroad.
