Biography
Dr. Samar Benhusen Merriman offers compassionate OB/GYN care to women of all ages at Reston Women’s Center in Reston, Virginia.
She received her medical degree from St. George’s University and completed her residency training in OB/GYN at Medstar Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore.
While in residency, Dr. Merriman trained extensively in all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology. She has earned multiple awards in residency such as the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine Resident Award for Excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Resident of the Year Award for Excellence in Surgical Skills, and Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology, among other accolades.
Dr. Merriman is committed to the welfare of women and babies during pregnancy and has a special interest in treating high-risk obstetric patients.
