Biography
Hanish D. Patel, MD is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine. He provides comprehensive care for patients with pulmonary and sleep-related conditions.
Dr. Patel completed his Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at Baylor Scott & White in Temple, Texas, where he served as Chief Fellow. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Virginia Tech Carilion Clinic and earned his medical degree from the American University of Antigua. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas A&M University.
Board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine (2020), Pulmonary Medicine (2022), and Critical Care Medicine (2023), Dr. Patel is dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with complex respiratory and sleep disorders.
Throughout his training, Dr. Patel has been actively involved in research, quality improvement initiatives, and medical education. He has presented multiple posters and lectures on topics including respiratory disease, critical care management, and complex internal medicine conditions. His commitment to excellence has been recognized with several honors, including Fellow of the Year at Baylor Scott & White and Outstanding Graduating Resident at Carilion Clinic.
Dr. Patel is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Thoracic Society, the American College of Physicians, and the American Medical Association. He is also certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
