Biography

Dr. Randy Planegger is a board-certified Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine specialist dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 2012. He went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, where he trained from 2013 to 2017.

Dr. Planegger completed both his Internal Medicine residency (2017–2020) and Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine fellowship (2020–2023) at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. His training provided extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of complex respiratory and critical care conditions.

In recognition of his dedication to clinical excellence and education, Dr. Planegger was awarded the Houston Methodist The Woodlands Educator of the Year in 2025.
