About Us
Welcome to the website of Advanced Surgery. Our board certified Rockville, Maryland surgeon, Glenn Sandler, MD has over 30 years of experience specializing in hernia repairs and laparoscopic surgery.
Dr. Sandler also specializes in the treatment of skin and soft tissue diseases, such as lipomas and sebaceous cysts.
The philosophy of our practice is based on patient care, physician availability, and dedication to surgical education and innovation. We continue to believe that these principles help our practice to deliver the highest quality surgical care for our patients.
Advanced Surgery is located in Rockville, Maryland and Dr. Sandler is available to see patients for office appointments several days a week.
Dr. Sandler has been, and continues to be, recognized in the Washingtonian Magazine “Top Doctors.”
He performs surgery at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital and Montgomery Surgery Center.
Our Team
Cathy Wilkinson
Cathy has been with Advanced Surgery, PC since 1996. Over the years, she has worked different areas of the practice including the front desk, insurance authorizations and surgical scheduling. Cathy is a Maryland native and has lived in Frederick County most of her life. Her dedication to our patients is evident in every phone call and interaction; she is a true "patient advocate." Outside of the office Cathy enjoys spending time with her family and traveling whenever possible.
Fiorella "Fio" Burgy
Fiorella is the Practice Manager at Advanced Surgery, PC where she has worked since 2021. Fiorella graduated with an MBA from Strayer University and oversees all aspects of clinical operations including scheduling, billing and regulatory compliance. She has a phenomenal understanding of all aspects of healthcare and is extremely helpful to patients as they navigate their office visits all the way through surgery. When not working Fio enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
