Biography
Hyeon Joo Lee is a certified registered nurse practitioner. She also worked as a medical/surgical registered nurse for 15 years before becoming a nurse practitioner. She received her master's and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Maryland, School of Nursing. She has participated in multiple research projects on subjects including diabetes and heart disease during her Ph.D. work. She is particularly interested in emphasizing lifestyle change associated with biopsychosocial factors on diabetes control to prevent diabetes complications.
