Biography

Jennifer Flippo, DNP, APRN is a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner with over three decades of experience caring for children and adolescents. Dr. Flippo grew up in Houston but is originally from Canada and still maintains a summer cabin there on her family’s property.  She attended Texas A&M University, where she completed a degree in biology (and met her husband in the biochemistry lab!).  That same husband talked her in to moving to Saginaw, his hometown, over 20 years ago.

Dr. Flippo received her BSN at Texas Woman’s University and her MSN and Doctor of Nursing Practice from UT Arlington.  She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient pediatric settings and recently retired from the University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing as a professor.  She and her husband have two grown sons (one Aggie and one Longhorn) and one lovely TCU Horned Frog daughter-in-law.  Her hobbies include traveling in Hazel, her 1970 Airstream, watching Aggie football, and volunteering as a board member with Saginaw’s food pantry, Community Link. Dr. Flippo is trying to learn to crochet and would appreciate any tips!
