Biography

Dr. Lovy Shukla-Solus has been board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics since 2014 and brings broad experience in primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, and hospital medicine. 

A New Jersey native, Dr. Shukla-Solus earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago and her medical degree from George Washington University in Washington, DC. She completed her pediatric residency at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. 

Following residency, Dr. Shukla-Solus worked as a pediatric hospitalist at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and later as an urgent care physician at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She subsequently practiced in the emergency department at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda and as a primary care pediatrician at Einstein Pediatrics in Virginia. 

Dr. Shukla-Solus has a special interest in sick visits, newborn care, and child growth and development. She believes in building trusting relationships with families and providing personalized, compassionate care for every child. 

Outside of medicine, Dr. Shukla-Solus lives in Potomac with her husband and two school-aged children. She enjoys traveling, reading with her book club, and crafting.
