This will depend on your age, as well as your risk for contracting certain diseases. As a general guideline for healthy adults, this schedule should be appropriate for most:

Age 19-21, get a check up once every 2-3 years.
Age 22-64, get a check up once every 1-3 years.
Age 65 or older, get a check once a year.
