Biography
Dr. G. Bayley Royer grew up in Richmond, Virginia and from there headed off to college in New Jersey at Princeton University. Dr. Royer fulfilled all his pre-med requirements while majoring in Classical Greek and Latin. While deferring his medical school acceptance, he worked at MetLife national headquarters in New York City. At MetLife, Dr. Royer learned a lot about the finance and business side of the insurance industry, but he felt a calling to serve more than just a corporation and accepted his position at the Medical College of Virginia. While in medical school, Dr. Royer participated in the performing arts in both an a cappella group and an improvisational company group. Dr. Royer has always thrived on interactions with people. So it was clear to him from the start that primary care was where he belongs.
