Personal Interests
Outside of medicine, Dr. Okocha is a self-described foodie who enjoys both cooking and discovering great food wherever she travels. She also enjoys traveling, reading, volunteering in nonprofit work, exercising—especially weightlifting—learning about different cultures, and studying new languages.
Biography
Dr. Adaobi Okocha is a dedicated and compassionate pediatrician originally from Aurora, Colorado. She completed her undergraduate studies at Emory University, where she also earned her Master of Public Health from the Emory University Rollins School of Public Health. She went on to receive her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, and completed her pediatric residency training at Nemours Children’s Health in Orlando, Florida.
Dr. Okocha returned to Georgia in July 2025 and is excited to serve families in the community she now calls home. She is deeply passionate about preventive health and enjoys incorporating her public health background into the care she provides to her patients and their families. Her clinical interests include newborn care, breastfeeding counseling, and culinary medicine, with a focus on helping families build healthy habits from the very beginning.
Dr. Okocha is committed to providing thoughtful, evidence-based, and family-centered care, and she strives to partner with parents to support the long-term health and well-being of their children.
