Biography

Sara Garcia grew up in Pennsylvania but has called Northern Virginia her home since 1999. She graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Art History and from George Mason University with a degree in Nursing. After working as an Emergency Department Nurse and Nurse Manager for over 10 years, she completed her Masters in Nursing at The George Washington University. She has further supplemented her education by becoming a certified health and wellness coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Sara enjoys how her background in the arts and her experience at the bedside allow her to critically think and guide patients on the topics of medicine and wellness. She strives to help patients overcome their limiting beliefs so that they can be their healthiest selves in mind, body, and spirit. In her free time, Sara enjoys reading, sharing her latest book recommendations, and travelling with her 7 year-old daughter. Her goal for 2024 is to pet every nice dog she sees.
