Biography

LaVon Magruder began her nursing career by graduating with honors from the Community College of Baltimore- Catonsville with an A.A. degree in nursing in 1993. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Excelsior College in New York in 2014. Throughout her nursing career, LaVon has worked in various settings including burn ICU, medical ICU, and ER. She has spent the lastest years of her nursing career in community nursing providing home care and nursing services to the Developmentally Disabled/Dually Mentally Diagnosed population. LaVon recently completed her Master of Science- Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Georgetown Unversity. Serving the community as a Primary Care Provider is a natural progression for LaVon in her dedication to supporting the community in reaching the goal of disease prevention and treatment in pursuit of optimal wellness.
