Biography

Dr. Patel is board-certified in Neurology with Special Qualifications in Child Neurology. She completed her undergraduate degree in science at the University of Georgia and then received her degree in medicine from Touro University Nevada College. She completed her Residency in Pediatric Neurology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Following her residency, Dr. Patel then went on to complete her fellowship in Epilepsy at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dr. Patel has a strong interest in global health and expanding access to neurological care for children worldwide. While she was obtaining both her undergraduate degree and her medical training, she traveled to Ecuador, Ghana, and Ethiopia, where she worked alongside local healthcare professionals and community leaders to provide expert, compassionate neurological care to those in underprivileged communities with little to no access to healthcare. Dr. Patel deeply values and understands how culture shapes perspectives on health. She is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care that respects each child’s cultural background and upbringing.
