Biography

Joanna recently graduated from the University of Maryland with her family nurse practitioner degree and is currently part of the Johns Hopkins SNAPT fellowship. She originally received her nursing degree from the University of Maryland. With over 6 years of experience as a registered nurse, she has worked in critical care and post-surgical settings, and has spent 2 years as a clinical and lab nurse instructor at Frederick Community College. Additionally, she has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland, teaching advanced health assessment to other nurse practitioners. A Maryland native, Joanna was born in Baltimore City and grew up in Prince George's County. She now resides in Frederick County with her husband and two dogs, Ollie and Griffin. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, kayaking, and hiking.
