At Bayside Pediatrics, providing thorough, high-quality care for your children is our highest privilege. We also want to help our families navigate the often-complex world of health insurance with total transparency.
During routine well-child visits, parents occasionally ask to address separate or ongoing issues—such as a new illness, a chronic condition, or a detailed medication change. Per standard medical insurance guidelines, insurance companies view these as two distinct services, which can sometimes result in an unexpected additional copay or deductible amount from your provider.
To put the choice entirely in your hands and prevent unexpected costs, beginning Saturday, August 1, our team will now ask a quick guiding question at the start of every well visit to confirm your preferences for the day.
You are not required to print or bring anything with you to your appointment. We will provide this informational document directly to you at check-in, but we want to ensure our families have the opportunity to review the update ahead of time.
