Biography

Dr. Swati Viswanathan is a board-eligible nephrologist dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based kidney care tailored to each patient. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Franciscan Health Olympia Fields in Illinois and her Nephrology Fellowship at The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC.

Her clinical interests include chronic kidney disease, hypertension, glomerular diseases, electrolyte disorders, home dialysis, and kidney transplantation. She is especially focused on early intervention, patient education, and slowing disease progression through guideline-based care.

Dr. Viswanathan takes a collaborative, patient-centered approach, helping individuals understand their condition and participate in treatment decisions. She is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology and the National Kidney Foundation. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and being outdoors.
