After graduation she accepted a position as faculty in the Family Medicine Residency Program in which she continued to mentor residents and medical students. During her years there, she served as Medical Director of Family Medicine Island West Clinic and chaired several departmental committees including Quality of Care Committee and the Core Competency Committee. She was awarded Faculty of the Quarter, an honor bestowed on those who excel in teaching.
