Biography

Vanessa Lehner, PA-C is a nationally certified Physician Assistant with over 15 years of clinical experience across family medicine, internal medicine, and gastroenterology.

Vanessa graduated from the Yale University Physician Assistant Program in 2008 and began her career in family medicine in West Hartford, Connecticut, where she practiced from 2009 to 2015. She then joined Yale Internal Medicine from 2015 to 2017 before transitioning to Gastroenterology at Yale, where she remained until 2019.

After relocating to Florida in 2019, Vanessa continued practicing in gastroenterology within hospital-based settings. She subsequently expanded her professional scope by working remotely in Medicare internal medicine chart review and risk adjustment.

Originally born and raised in Colombia, Vanessa is fully bilingual in English and Spanish and brings a deep cultural awareness to patient care. Primary care has always been her professional passion, and her first role out of PA school was with a small, physician-owned private practice—an experience that continues to shape her approach to medicine.

Vanessa is drawn to the mission of Soriano Med because of its commitment to personalized, relationship-driven care. She values being part of a close-knit team serving the community and believes there is something truly special about a small private practice that prioritizes patients over corporate interests in an increasingly impersonal healthcare system.
