Biography
Dr. Lucinda Bien-Aime is a native Washingtonian, proud Theodore Roosevelt Senior High School graduate, and board-certified pediatrician who has cared for children and families in the District of Columbia and Maryland since 2006.
Dr. Bien-Aime believes that children thrive when their medical, emotional, and community needs are considered together. She is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care and partnering with families to help every child grow and thrive. This belief has been at the heart of her work as a pediatrician, public health professional, and child advocate.
Dr. Bien-Aime earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and her Doctor of Medicine degree from Meharry Medical College. She completed her Pediatrics residency at Harlem Hospital Center, an affiliate of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She went on to earn a Master of Public Health in Community-Oriented Primary Care from The George Washington University School of Health and Health Sciences (The Milken SPH) and completed a Fellowship in Community Pediatrics and Child Advocacy at Georgetown University Hospital, KIDS Mobile Medical Clinic.
Her experiences have shaped a philosophy of care that combines evidence-based medicine with compassion, listening, and a deep understanding of each child and family. Dr. Bien-Aime is passionate about making high-quality pediatric care accessible to every family and believes that the best care happens when pediatricians and parents work together as partners.
Most importantly, Dr. Bien-Aime understands the joys—and the occasional challenges—of raising children firsthand. Outside of the office, she is a devoted wife and proud mother of four sons. She loves spending time with family and friends, traveling, laughing out loud, listening to audiobooks, and, most of all, warm smiles and big hugs.
It is a privilege for Dr. Bien-Aime to care for children and to be part of their journeys as they grow, learn, and thrive
