Founded in 1992, Allergy and Asthma Associates (AAA) is home to some of the most well-respected allergists in the D.C. metro area – Dr. Courtney Jackson Blair, Dr. Sharon Seth, and Dr. Karen Robbins – supported by our experienced provider Bridget Schaefer, PA. We are also excited to welcome Dr. Anjeni Keswani to the practice in Summer 2025!
Our team specializes in adult and pediatric allergy, asthma, and immunologic care. We offer comprehensive testing and treatment for allergic rhinitis, asthma, eczema, food allergies, chronic hives (urticaria), drug allergies, and stinging insect allergy. We are especially skilled at evaluating and treating patients with overlapping or complex allergic and respiratory conditions.
AAA is proud to offer some of the most effective and advanced allergy immunotherapy (AIT) options in the region, including:
- Allergy shots (SCIT) with both conventional and Rush build-up schedules
- Allergy drops (customized sublingual immunotherapy)
- FDA-approved sublingual tablets (SLIT)* for selected environmental allergens
Our AIT protocols are designed to deliver high, clinically effective doses for patients who want lasting relief from environmental allergens like pollens, pet dander, dust mites, and molds.
We also provide lung function testing, asthma care planning, and treatment with biologic therapies for conditions such as moderate-to-severe asthma, chronic sinusitis with nasal polyps, chronic idiopathic urticaria, eczema, and IgE-mediated food allergies.
Allergy injections are offered by appointment and are administered under careful medical observation for patient safety. Please contact our office with any questions about scheduling, office hours, or allergy shot protocols.
New patients are seen for a comprehensive consultation. If testing is needed, it will be performed at a separate visit after the initial intake. Allergy immunotherapy can typically be started soon after, and medications can be adjusted at the initial consultation as appropriate. Follow-up appointments may be arranged to manage chronic allergic conditions within our specialty scope, or our providers may recommend treatment changes for referring physicians to implement.
Patients with written referrals will be given scheduling priority. Our team triages all new appointment requests based on the nature of the referral. Due to high demand, our providers reserve the right to decline new patient scheduling if the referral is deemed outside the scope of our specialty. This policy is in place to respect the patient’s time and cost, and to preserve access to care for those whose conditions are best served by our clinic.
