Biography
Christina Johansen, MPT, is a highly experienced and dedicated Physical Therapist with a rich background in healthcare and a passion for helping patients achieve optimal physical well-being. She earned her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in 1999, following her undergraduate studies at Walla Walla University in 1995.
Christina’s unique life journey began in India, where she was born, then moved to Uppsala, Sweden at the age of 3, and eventually immigrated to Walla Walla in 1987 as a 15-year-old highschool student. Her deep connection to Walla Walla was solidified when she fell in love with the area while working in the valley’s harvest, driving combine and truck.
With 24 years of experience as a physical therapist, Christina has contributed significantly to various healthcare settings, including inpatient hospital care, the VA system serving veterans, and the last 15 years in outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine rehabilitation. Her expertise encompasses manual therapy, shoulder and joint replacement rehabilitation, postural reeducation, core strengthening, spine stabilization, and Pilates therapeutic rehabilitation.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Christina finds joy in traveling, embarking on DIY home and yard projects, practicing yoga and Pilates, road biking, hiking, and cherishing quality time with her family and friends. Her holistic approach to healthcare and life reflects her commitment to enhancing the well-being of her patients and her vibrant engagement with the world around her.
