Personal Interests
Dr. Shaull lives in Severna Park with her husband, who is also a primary care physician. They have two daughters who are at home when not in college, as well as a dog and a cat who are home all the time. She enjoys bicycling, cooking, and trying out new restaurants. She would love to find the time to read a good book.
Biography
Dr. Shaull grew up in a small town in south central Pennsylvania. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Haverford College near Philadelphia, and although her intent was always a career in medicine, she first spent a year after college volunteering at an alternative public school program in inner city Washington, DC. In 1989 she headed off to medical school at Penn State’s College of Medicine in Hershey, PA. There she met and eventually married a fellow classmate, graduating with her husband two months after their marriage in 1993. They moved to Cockeysville, MD soon afterward, and she commuted to a residency training program in York, PA while he trained in Baltimore city. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at York Hospital in 1996.
After residency, Dr. Shaull joined a large Baltimore-based healthcare organization called HelixCare (now MedStar), and worked in their primary care office in Dundalk from 1996 until 2000. She decided to put her medical career on hold when her second child was born in 2000, and became a stay-at-home mom while still using her skills as a volunteer at a free medical clinic. It was around 2005 at the Annapolis Outreach Clinic that she first met Dr. Seidel, and eventually started doing some contract work in her brand new solo practice, Bay Crossing Family Medicine. In 2008 Dr. Shaull took a position at a community health center in south Baltimore, and more recently she has worked at Patient First urgent care centers in Pasadena and Glen Burnie.
Throughout the years, Dr. Shaull and Dr. Seidel have maintained their friendship, and she was delighted to re-join Bay Crossing in July 2018. She appreciates the collaborative environment and individual effort of each team member at this practice, where the philosophy is one of personalized care for the whole person and the whole family.
