Robotic Surgery Overview

Robotic surgery is a less invasive technique than traditional surgery. With da Vinci robotic surgery, the cuts (incisions) made in your body by your surgeon are much smaller than the cut made during traditional (also called “open”) surgery.

Minimally Invasive

Surgical technology is being rapidly refined, and recently we have begun using new class of robotic surgery. It is an effective, minimally invasive alternative to both open surgery and laparoscopy. Through the use of the da Vinci Surgical System, we are now able to offer a minimally invasive option for a range of complex gynecologic conditions requiring surgery.

Generally, robotic surgical procedures produce fewer complications, shorter hospital stays and faster recoveries.
