Occupation
PHYSICIAN
“I take great care in observing both the patient’s autonomy and uniqueness. Disease presentation and treatment can take many forms, and so each patient’s symptoms should be approached with an open mind with flexible problem-solving. I explain not only the disease process itself to patients but also the rationale for each test, procedure, and treatment that I recommend. Every prescribed medication has a different implication and impact on the disease it is intended to treat. By detailing the expected outcome, I try to help the patient make an informed decision in his or her own treatment. The goal for my practice is to make every decision in the patient’s care both transparent and based on legitimate scientific evidence. Now in my 14th year of practicing medicine, I can honestly say that I am still learning, and expect to never stop learning my trade. Being a physician is both humbling and rewarding on a daily basis.”
