How Do We Determine What You Are Allergy To?

We do a series of skin pricks with a broad panel of common local antigens and assess your unique response to these antigens. Based on your response to this test, a custom treatment plan is created for you by the physician.

What is immunotherapy?

Immunotherapy is a treatment modality to strengthen and train your immune system against your specific allergy triggers over the long-term. It is a way to increase your tolerance when exposed to specific allergens, so that symptoms are minimal or eliminated.

Immunotherapy can be given through subcutaneous or sublingual modalities. The idea is that a specific allergen is given initially at a very small dose, and that is given repeatedly over time, in increasing concentrations, to strengthen the immune system's tolerance of the offending allergen.
