In her free time, Mariah enjoys spending personal time with her family, being in nature, and practicing yoga. Mariah also enjoys activities that stimulate her mind, such as puzzles - specifically jigsaw puzzles.

Biography

Mariah has extensive knowledge of mental health in pediatric and adolescent patients, ranging from ages 4 to 22. For the past four years, she has worked as a mental health clinician, providing expert psychiatric medication management for patients diagnosed with a variety of mental health-related problems including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, autism, tics/Tourette’s, learning and developmental delays, PTSD, trauma victims, traumatic brain injuries, anger and/or mood disorders, etc. She also specializes in sleep disorders such as insomnia, parasomnias, night terrors, etc. Mariah also served as the charge nurse on a multidisciplinary rehabilitation unit in the Kennedy Krieger Institute, where she gained extensive experience in the field of neurology. There she worked with pediatric patients of all ages and cultural backgrounds diagnosed with neurological-related issues, such as acute or chronic pain symptom management, feeding-related disorders, traumatic brain injuries, spinal-cord injury, brain surgery recovery, etc.

Mariah is here to listen to and support her valued patients and their loved ones who are currently struggling with their psychiatric or neurological health. As a clinician, Mariah’s goal is to coordinate care with patients, parents, and/or guardians of minor patients, and other healthcare professionals involved in their treatment, to collaboratively discover the best plan that will help the patient succeed at their highest potential.
