Washington Ear Associates

Washington Ear Associates was founded in November of 2016 by Dr. Roya Azadarmaki with one important goal in mind: making a difference in the community and in people’s lives. The goal was to bring a tertiary level of otologic and ear care to the community. Since the opening of our practice, our practice offered a high-end boutique level of care where the patient and the physician and all caring members of the team know each-other, rely on each other, and collectively aim for success in providing healthcare with high standards and high quality. Since the opening of Washington Ear Associates, the practice has served patients routinely from a 4-hour radius and beyond. We are proud of what our center has achieved and aim to continue to grow and learn in order to serve our patient’s needs based on the most up-to-date medical and surgical standards.

Washington Ear Associates is a proud cochlear implant center that has provided consultation and surgical care to hundreds of hearing-impaired patients that have been guided to believe in the promise of cochlear implants. We have made a true difference in our community and within the states of Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and beyond and we are looking forward to continue to help and support our patients’ with hearing loss to choose the best level of care possible for their needs.

Medical and Surgical care for tympanic membrane perforations, cholesteatoma, otosclerosis, chronically draining ears, middle ear and mastoid disease, cochlear implantation, superior canal dehiscence, cerebrospinal leaks through the ear, ear canal disease processes, glomus tympanicums and middle ear masses and lesions, Eustachian tube dysfunction, conductive and sensorineural hearing loss, Meniere’s Disease and vestibular migraines, middle ear myoclonus, autoimmune inner ear disease, sinonasal disease, and many more, is offered at our center.

Washington Hearing Aid Center, our sister company, provides hearing aid support for our patients. A wide range of balance testing is also provided to selected patients. We continue to partner with our local audiologists to broaden the resources available to our patients and we strongly believe in collaborative efforts to optimize patient care.

Dr. Roya Azadarmaki

Dr. Roya Azadarmaki is a dedicated physician and surgeon who loves her profession and is committed to her patients, Washington Ear Associates, and her staff and colleagues. She obtained her bachelors in Biochemistry with a minor in Biology at Georgetown University and her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. She graduated Cum Laude from Georgetown University and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, a medical honor society, due to her stellar performance as a medical student and was the top 5% of her graduating class. Her residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery was completed at Temple University School of Medicine and her fellowship training in otology and neurotology was completed at Metropolitan NeuroEar Group in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area.

Dr. Azadarmaki established Washington Ear Associates in 2016 and has become a very well-known cochlear implant surgeon in the East Coast and an excellent surgeon for complicated ear disorders. Her outcomes have been life-changing for many and have been humbling to her as a surgeon. She thanks God every day for the gift she had been given as a strong female professional. She believes in research and contributes to her field by publishing and presenting at meetings. As a 4th year medical student, she was awarded medical student research award of the year and has won awards for her presentations. Dr. Azadarmaki has authored many articles as well as several book chapters. She attends academic meetings routinely to make sure that she offers the best possible options in managing her patients and she believes in the power of positive and informative collaboration with colleagues.
