Biography
Dr. Michael Wilcox, MD, is a highly esteemed and community-focused internal medicine practitioner with a strong educational background and a deep connection to his hometown. His journey in medicine began in Oregon, where he obtained his Medical Degree from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1992, marking the beginning of his commitment to healthcare.
Growing up in the city of Milton-Freewater, Oregon, Dr. Wilcox has a unique understanding of the local community and its healthcare needs. He pursued his undergraduate education at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington, majoring in Biology, which laid the foundation for his future medical career.
After completing an internal medicine residency at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City in 1995, Dr. Wilcox briefly worked at the Bend Memorial Clinic in Bend, Oregon. However, his heart led him back to his hometown, where he has been practicing internal medicine since 1996.
Beyond his professional life, Dr. Wilcox finds joy in riding his bike, spending quality time with his two children, and watching football. His deep-rooted connection to the community and his commitment to providing exceptional care make him a trusted and respected healthcare professional dedicated to the health and well-being of his patients.
