Regular preventive care is one of the most important ways to protect your health. At OBGYN Nova Sky Houston Clinic, we provide comprehensive wellness visits, screenings, vaccinations, and personalized counseling to help identify concerns early and support long- term health.

Annual wellness visits include a review of medical history, menstrual history, sexual health, contraception needs, family history, lifestyle factors, physical examination when appropriate, and individualized recommendations.
We provide clinical breast examination when indicated and coordinate mammography screening based on age, history, risk factors, and current guidelines.
Pap smears and HPV testing help screen for cervical cancer and precancerous changes. If results are abnormal, we provide appropriate follow-up, including colposcopy, biopsy, and treatment options such as LEEP when needed.
HPV vaccination can help protect against high-risk HPV strains associated with cervical and other cancers. We provide counseling and vaccination recommendations based on age and eligibility.
We offer confidential testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, along with education on prevention and partner considerations.
Most patients benefit from an annual wellness visit, even when a Pap smear is not needed every year.
Not always. Pap smear frequency depends on age, prior results, HPV status, and risk factors.
Yes. STD testing and treatment are handled privately and respectfully.
Yes. We can discuss contraception options during a wellness visit.
Yes — absolutely. We encourage you to mention any concerns you have, including pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, vaginal symptoms, breast concerns, urinary symptoms, sexual health concerns, menopause symptoms, or any other gynecologic issue.
A well-woman exam is primarily dedicated to preventive health, such as screening, counseling, and routine wellness care. Preventive visits are often covered by insurance plans, depending on your benefits. However, when new symptoms or specific medical concerns are addressed during the same visit, your insurance may treat that portion as a problem-focused evaluation, which could result in additional billing, copays, deductibles, or coinsurance.
We still recommend that you share all of your concerns. During your visit, Dr. Aalipour can briefly assess the issue, discuss possible causes, and create an appropriate plan. This may include ordering labs, scheduling an ultrasound, arranging follow-up, prescribing treatment, or planning a separate visit if more time or detailed evaluation is needed.
