Biography
Sam originally grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland located in Montgomery County. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences at Gettysburg College. She attended medical school at the University of Maryland School of Medicine with a focus on preventative medicine. Remaining local and training at a strong/unique program was important to her, thus she completed residency training at Inova Fairfax Family Practice located in Fairfax, Virginia. Dr. Day has special interests in women’s health/contraception counseling and planning, obesity, musculoskeletal injuries including sports medicine, and procedural medicine. Outside of medicine, Dr. Day enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, cooking, and watching sports.
