Biography
Dr. Stephanie Park is a licensed clinical psychologist. She graduated with honors from Johns Hopkins University, where she obtained her BA in Psychological and Brain Sciences. She then received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park after completing her predoctoral internship at the VA Maryland Health Care System/University of Maryland School of Medicine Psychology Internship Consortium. Before joining RIMG in 2016, Dr. Park was a postdoctoral fellow at the VA Capitol Health Care Network (VISN 5) Mental Illness Research, Education, and Clinical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Park is passionate about evidence-based, client-centered, and collaborative approaches to mental health services. She specializes in working with adults with a broad range of behavioral and mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, stress, chronic illness, and substance use. Dr. Park utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Social Skills Training, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based approaches to help individuals improve their coping skills, quality of life, and overall well-being. Dr. Park also has a strong background in clinical research, with over twelve publications in peer-reviewed journals in the areas of psychosocial rehabilitation, serious mental illness, and recovery-oriented care.
